Outdoor Warning Sirens

Most common and widely recognized method of warning is through the use of outdoor warning sirens. Outdoor warning sirens are designed to warn people of severe weather events.

When you hear a siren:

  1. Seek shelter immediately.
  2. Move indoors to a sturdy building.
  3. Monitor local media or weather radio for additional instructions.

Sirens should not be relied upon as the only warning system indoors.

Siren Testing

Outdoor warning sirens are tested monthly on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 AM, weather permitting.
