PAYMENT ORDERS

The Piatt County Circuit Clerk’s Office does NOT accept payments of any kind over the phone.

A Payment Drop Box is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is located outside the north entrance of the Courthouse.

Online Payments are preferred & processed through www.judici.com

1. 1. From the 2nd drop down menu, select “Piatt County, IL” and click “Go”
2. 2. Find your case via the search options.
3. 3. Click the red “Plea/Pay” button.
4. 4. Follow prompts to complete the process.

You will or may need:

1. Credit or Debit Card
2. Defendant Name / Date of Birth
3. Case/Ticket Number
4. Driver’s License Number

TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS

If your ticket is marked "COURT APPEARANCE REQUIRED", you CAN NOT pay prior to your appearance. Go to court on the date given on your ticket.

If your ticket is marked "NO COURT APPEARANCE REQUIRED", you have the following options:
 1. PLEAD GUILTY, PAY, AND/OR APPLY FOR THE TRAFFIC SAFETY PROGRAM ONLINE.
You do not have to appear in court and, if you successfully complete the program, a conviction is not entered on your driving record. If you do not want to apply for the program, you can still plead guilty and pay online to avoid any further requirements. Go to www.judici.comwww.judici.com to plea and pay. Follow the above instructions to complete this process.  2. PLEAD GUILTY AND APPLY FOR THE TRAFFIC SAFETY PROGRAM BY MAIL.
You do not have to appear in court and, if you successfully complete the program, a conviction is not entered on your driving record.

To determine if you are eligible for the Traffic Safety Program, please answer the following questions:

A. In the twelve (12) months preceding the issue date of this ticket, have you been convicted of any moving violation anywhere in Illinois?
B. In the four (4) years preceding the issue date of this ticket, have you taken a 4-hour Defensive Driving course or been on Court Supervision anywhere in Illinois?
C. Did you receive a ticket for speeding 21 or more miles over the speed limit?
D. Was your ticket marked with COURT APPEARANCE REQUIRED?
E. Do you have a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)?

If you can answer "Yes" to any of the questions above, you are NOT eligible for the program. Please contact the Piatt County State's Attorney’s Office at 217-762-2574 if you are interested in requesting court supervision.

If you answered "No" to all of the above questions, you qualify for the Traffic Safety Program. There is an additional cost of $69.00 for participation. Please read and complete the “registration form” (Download here: Traffic Safety Registration Form). Return the completed form, a blue copy of your citation, and a cashier's check or money order for $164.00 plus the cost of the program, to the Piatt County Circuit Clerk, PO Box 288 Monticello, IL 61856.

 3. PLEAD GUILTY BY MAIL. You may plead guilty and pay applicable fees. A conviction is reported to the Secretary of State. We do not accept PERSONAL CHECKS. Please remit a cashier's check or money order. Mail your payment, along with the blue copy of your citation, to:

Speeding 1-20 mph over the limit: $164
Speeding 21-25 mph over the limit: $164
All other non-court appearance offenses: $164
Seat belt offense: $164
 4. PLEAD NOT GUILTY AND REQUEST A TRIAL.
Follow the directions on the back of a blue copy of your traffic ticket.

Mail blue copy to Piatt County Circuit Clerk PO Box 288 Monticello, IL 61856. And pay via www.judici.com and follow the steps at the top of the page.  2. PLEAD GUILTY BY MAIL.
You may plead guilty and pay $164.00. We do not accept PERSONAL CHECKS. Please remit a cashier's check or money order. Mail your payment, along with the blue copy of your citation, to Piatt County Circuit Clerk, PO Box 288 Monticello, IL 61856
 3. PLEAD NOT GUILTY AND REQUEST A TRIAL.
Follow the directions on the back of the blue copy of your conservation ticket.
